About

Hi everyone, my name is Mike and I am currently a Registered Nurse working on a Cardiology/Telemetry Unit in a Level III Trauma Hospital. I have gone from working on farms picking produce, to working in the counterterrorism/anti-gang area, to taking care of critically ill patients at the bedside. I consider myself and my various professional careers to be eclectic, so I feel I bring an alternative perspective to nursing and life in general.

Beginning my nursing career during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic has led me to create this blog. Besides family and friends, “Nursing is My Cardio” has become my outlet so that I may share with others and others can share with me.
